We are looking for a Sustainability Manager for our Deland, FL office!
Summary: This is a sustainability role within the Kingspan Panels North America sustainability function designed to support the development and implementation of the company’s sustainability programs. This role will involve supporting a wide range of sustainability projects and the Plant Passionate program.
Essential Duties:
· Lead the implementation of key workstreams and strategies such as the Planet Passionate program, supply chain management, and circular economy.
· Manage the Planet Passionate Communities program to achieve stated goals.
· Horizon scanning to identify sector and market best practices related to sustainability. Monitoring emerging trends and working closely with divisional local teams to identify issues and opportunities.
· Track, assess and maintain our sustainability-related certification requirements across Kingspan Insulated panels with additional support into other division's key product groups.
· Support the continued education of employees across the business on sustainability-related topics.
· Support and deliver industry education via CEU’s and industry events
· Revise and maintain CEU programs for the sales team
· Manage the collection of environmental and social data metrics and company-level calculations for the Plant Passionate program and CSRD.
· Manage the development of a yearly divisional sustainability report
· Assists with the development of product sustainability reporting, materiality analysis, and internal education programs.
· Provide Life Cycle Assessment on both existing and alternative products with the publication of EPD when required.
· Work with the marketing team to ensure our product’s environmental credentials, quantified benefits are aligned and integrated within the communications strategy.
· Prepare and present sustainability and Planet Passionate content to various audiences.
· Maintains department KPI’s and metrics, as well as complete periodic reports and summaries.
· Travel required within North America & Europe – approximately 25-30%.
· Other duties as required for success in the business.
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree within a related disciple – Sustainability, Architecture, Construction or Business. Master’s degree is highly preferred.
· Minimum 3+ years of related experience in consulting corporate, industrial, or other environment.
· Working knowledge of international sustainable development policy including but not limited to the Paris Climate Agreement, USGBC, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Required Skills:
· High-level proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs—comfort with complicated Excel formulas, pivot tables, etc., plus ability to present information succinctly and visually in PowerPoint, sophisticated data analysis.
· A passion for sustainability and sustainable development is essential.
· Understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and building environmental assessment methods is desirable.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate effectively, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent communicator with strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
· Ability to balance strategic thinking with achieving results and problem-solving capabilities.
· Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Proven ability to build relationships and influence others at all levels.
· Action-oriented and organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent follow-through skills
